The main apartment room is a spacious, rear facing and quiet sitting room, with fine panoramic views over the city skyline, including the monuments on Calton Hill.
The room also offers a comfortable double sofa bed, dining area and open plan kitchen.
Winter holiday comfort is ensured by a white stone effect, open gas fire in the sitting room and gas fired central heating throughout.
In all, this superbly positioned, traditional apartment offers excellent accommodation to visitors to Edinburgh who wish to have every facility closeby.
Please note this apartment is not serviced by a lift and therefore is unsuitable for some disabilities.

One of Europe's most beautiful Capital Cities, Edinburgh is the centre of Devolved Scottish Government, the second largest centre for European financial management after London and is home to the annual International Festival of the Arts and it's famous 'Fringe'. Art Galleries, Museums, Theatres, Cinemas and Concert Halls contribute to a rich cultural life. The City also plays regular host to many National & international sporting events and is a Mecca for shopping with many designer and specialist outlets. There is a huge choice of venues for eating & drinking at every level and price imaginable.
The choice is seemingly endless. Very close by is the Festival Theatre along with a wide choice of other Theatres all close at hand. A new Odeon Cinema is in Lothian Road with other Cinemas at Tollcross and Fountainbridge. The Royal Mile offers a fine range of pubs and restaurants catering for every cuisine. For the energetic the royal Commomwealth swimming pool complex with a fitness centre is in Dalkeith Road. Many Golf courses are available within the City boundary on the south side along with Hillend, a large, dry ski slope. Superb walks, jogs and cycle runs are to be found in the vast park at Holyrood. The City has International Rugby and Premier Division Football. Finally a thousand years of history is on the Royal Mile. Visit in particular, the Castle, the new Scottish Parliament, Holyroodhouse, The Museum of Childhood and the High Kirk of St Giles.
There is a wide range of shops on The Royal Mile, although many cater for the City's thousands of Tourists who visit during Festival times. For day to day needs there are excellent facilities in nearby Newington. Here you will find a Tesco Metro and other small supermarkets including Scotmid. There is a particularly good choice of Bookshops and other specialist outlets. A little further south there is a savacentre along with a large branch of Sainsbury's, Bhs, WH Smith and Boots. The City Centre around Princes Street (within walking distance) has the St James shopping centre along with a huge choice of National & international labels including Jenners, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Debenhams and Harvey Nichols.
Parking is free outside the apartment from 6.30pm until 8.30am every night and from 6.30pm on Saturday night untill 8.30am Monday morning (but not on double yellow lines) 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday parking bays are charged out at £1.60 per hour, max 4 hours or £0.40 per 15 minutes. Please note this is an Edinburgh Council run amenity and likely to change without notice. Other than that, there is a car park in Niddry St. (almost opposite the flat) with reasonable daily/weekly rates. Free road side parking is available just outside the city centre. (Approx 3/4 mile).
You will find many of the attractions and facilities you need within walking distance, however, for the more adventurous, regular Bus services are available to all parts of the City and beyond. Waverley Station, the City's main railway terminus, is a few minutes walk away. For the driver: Through Newington there is an easy link south to the City by-pass, this dual carriageway links the A1 in the east, the major routes through the Borders and the M8 leading west & M9 travelling north. The international Airport is just off the western end of the by-pass.
Take the airport bus to the east end of Princes Street. Walk up North Bridge to the Royal Mile junction (approx 350 yards). Turn Left into The Royal Mile. Bailie Fife's Close is on the left hand side approx 50 yards down.
Ask the driver to take you to the Radisson SAS Hotel Royal Mile. Bailie Fyfe's Close is opposite to the right of the Hotel.
Head towards the city centre. You are looking for where the A1 Waterloo Place meets the A8 Princes Street and tees with the A7 North Bridge. Turn on to North Bridge and drive to the first juntion where The Royal Mile crosses. Turn left on to the Royal Mile and Bailie Fyfe's Close is approx' 50 yards on the left.
Take the Train to Edinburgh Waverley Station. Exit the station on to Princes Street and turn right. After a few yards turn right on to North Bridge. Walk up to the first juntion and turn left on to The Royal Mile. Bailie Fyfe's Close is approx 50 yards down on the left. Total distance from the station is approx 500 yards.
